Nicholas Robertson
Nicholas Robertson, is a nationally board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in clinical care, healthcare leadership, and military service. After a distinguished career as a Major in the United States Air Force, he brings a wealth of expertise to Integrated Health—particularly in primary care, women’s health, occupational medicine, and now, regenerative therapies. He holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and is known for his evidence-based, patient-first approach to care. Robertson believes great healthcare begins with listening, collaboration, and treating the whole person—not just their symptoms. To expand his integrative care model, he is currently pursuing Functional Medicine certification, focusing on identifying and addressing root causes of illness. Incorporating regenerative medicine into his practice, Robertson now offers non-surgical treatments such as stem cell therapies and double-spin platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections. These therapies target joint and musculoskeletal conditions involving the shoulders, elbows, wrists, sacroiliac joints, hips, knees, and feet—helping patients achieve lasting pain relief, improved function, and a better quality of life through the body’s natural healing processes.
At Integrated Health, Robertson plays a key role in expanding our physical medicine services and enhancing patient care across Southern Illinois. In addition to his clinical expertise, he is trained in healthcare systems improvement and holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification—an advanced credential that reflects his commitment to efficient, high-quality, and patient-centered care. This background allows him to improve processes that directly benefit patients by making care more seamless, timely, and effective. Originally from Central Illinois, Robertson is excited to return to his roots and make the Carbondale area home once again. He and his wife are looking forward to becoming part of the community and raising their family here. He will primarily see patients at our Carterville location. His approach to medicine is grounded in respect, integrity, and the belief that every patient deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered in their health journey.
