The CDC has recognized that stress increases in these kinds of circumstances. Some insurance companies are even waiving co-pays for Tele-Health services to ensure anyone in need of care can receive it. If you, a family member or friend is feeling increased stress, you may be in need of services.

Some of the warning signs- Stress during an infectious disease outbreak can include:

  • Fear and worry about your own health and the health of your loved ones
  • Changes in sleep or eating patterns
  • Difficulty sleeping or concentrating
  • Worsening of chronic health problems
  • Increased use of alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs
  • Sense of dread or hopelessness, increased depression or anxiety

People who may respond more strongly to the stress of a crisis include:

  • Children- Changes in routine, physical activity and loss of time spent with grandparents and friends can be a triggering event.
  • Teens- Social distancing and the loss of school sports and activities can cause even more stress in this age group.
  • Older people and people with chronic diseases who are at higher risk for COVID-19. It is also imperative that this age group have access to medical services to keep prescriptions accurate and current.
  • Anyone who is worried about their financial future and family health could be at risk.

Medical patients may need medication management, chronic conditions monitoring, help with flare-up conditions or may simply need to talk to a medical care provider. This is a simple way to have contact with Danielle without having physically to go into an office.

We understand the uncertainty that is surrounding us all and we want you to know we are here to help. We are accepting new patients in both the Medical and Mental Health Tele-Health Departments.
